Our mission is to prevent unnecessary loss among young men by raising awareness about testicular cancer and changing how they approach their healthcare needs.
How we make a difference.
The Samuel Carroll Foundation will partner with other non-profits to increase awareness, not just of testicular cancer, but all men’s health issues. This will encompass web and social media campaigns, lobbying to include men’s health in high school curricula, fundraising, and outreach events.
Public Awareness
We seek to raise awareness and educate young men and their families about testicular cancer and the importance of early detection—ultimately breaking the stigma and embarrassment surrounding this disease. Similar to Susan G. Komen's impact on breast cancer awareness and self-checks, our goal is to achieve the same for testicular cancer.
We stress the significance of regular healthcare visits for young men, beginning as they transition out of pediatric care. By instilling the habit of prioritizing their health early on, young men can detect issues sooner and maintain better health throughout their lives.
Financial Assistance
No family should fight testicular cancer alone. We’re here to support young men by ensuring they receive care safely and discreetly, providing access to health screenings and initiating the process to secure healthcare for those without insurance.
Community Engagement
Through regular community outreach events, we engage the public in discussions about testicular cancer and the importance of regular health check-ups for young men. We connect them with people, resources, and educational materials to support their health.
